The Mission
To partner with Jesus in His work of redemption, restoration, and healing of all things and to call others to join us in His Kingdom work.
The Vision
To see the NW Grand Rapids area unified under the banner of Christ regardless of age, race, gender, or background. To see radical healing and restoration in marriages, relationships, businesses, and schools. To see the truth of the Gospel lived and professed boldly and humbly for the sake of the kingdom of God.
What We Believe
Sanctuary Church stands in the broad tradition of Christian churches that date back to the time of Jesus. As such, we believe that the creeds of the historic Christian faith can bind us to one another as believers across space and time. One such creed—The Apostles' Creed—summarizes the beliefs that unite all Christians:
I believe in God the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
Born of the virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, dead, and buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day He rose again, ascended into heaven,
And sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
From there He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church,
The communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,
The resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
Amen.
